NORTH READING — Alexander A. (“Paul”) Cogliano, 89, of North Reading, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 28, 2017 after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Born on November 3, 1928, he was the beloved husband Julia (Musetti) Cogliano with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
He was the loving father of Paul Cogliano of North Andover, Stephanie Polli and her husband John of North Andover, and Jane McNeice and her husband Donald of Reading. Paul was the dear brother of Gerald Cogliano of Woburn and the late William Cogliano. He was the adored grandfather of Curtis, Matthew, Eric, William and Teresa and the great-grandfather of Christopher. Paul is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus, North Reading Council, No. 4544, and served his country during WWII. His family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Meadow View Care Center for the wonderful care that Paul received.
His funeral was held from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading on Wednesday, January 3. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St., North Reading. Relatives and friends visited at the funeral home Tuesday. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
