A rocking’ good time coming July 27

MELROSE — The Melrose Music Festival (formerly the Four Corners Music Festival) returns on Saturday, July 27 from 2-7 p.m. at 360 Lynn Fells Parkway. The MMF is a family-friendly, outdoor event which will feature two stages of local musicians from all age groups, highlighted by the Peter Parcek Trio.

Peter Parcek’s daring, incendiary and soulful style is a distinctive hybrid. He weaves rock, gypsy-jazz, country, folk, and blues—especially blues—into a tapestry of melody, harmony, and daredevil solos that push those styles to their limits without sacrificing the warmth of his own personality.

Starting at 2 p.m., bring a blanket, lawn chairs, a picnic, and the family for an enjoyable day of local live music at the Cabbage Patch field, located in front of the Veterans Memorial Middle School at 360 Lynn Fells Parkway. There will be several fun bands as well as individual performances from talented Melrose residents of all ages. Concessions and children’s activities will also be on hand.

The event will be held light rain or shine.

This event is a great way to help connect neighborhoods while also further supporting our fine arts community. The Melrose Music Festival is sponsored by the City of Melrose and Waste Management Inc.
