Retired Wakefield Police Officer and U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War

WAKEFIELD — Jino DiNanno, 87, of Wakefield, died on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Everett on March 17, 1932, he was the son of the late Rocco and Maria (Cicchini) DiNanno.
Mr. DiNanno was a graduate of Everett Vocational High School, Class of 1950 and Northeastern University. He had served in the United States Army during the Korean War and had been a Wakefield resident for the past 58 years. Mr. DiNanno was a retired police officer for the Town of Wakefield. He was a life member of the Wakefield Sons of Italy, the Wakefield Elks, the Massachusetts Police Association and St. Florence Parish in Wakefield.
Mr. DiNanno is survived by his wife Lydia E. (Senibaldi) DiNanno, his two sons; Michael DiNanno and Richard J. DiNanno and his wife Mirta all of Wakefield, his daughter Gina M. LeBlanc and husband Robert of Wakefield, his four grandchildren; Michelle, Erica, Ashley and Joseph, his brother Luco DiNanno and his wife Janet of Wakefield. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. DiNanno was predeceased by his brother Anthony DiNanno and his sister Josephine DiNanno.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
