Don’t be alone on Thanksgiving

Published November 15, 2019

MELROSE — For the 34th year, Scott Macaulay will be putting on a Thanksgiving dinner for anyone who will be alone on the holiday.

Held again this year in the Green Street Baptist Church, 179 Green St., on Thursday, November 28, the annual affair begins at 1 p.m. There will be cheese and crackers, chips and dips, hot hors d’oeuvres and a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings.

Dinner will be by candlelight. A DJ will provide music and those attending will sit by three fireplaces and a wood burning stove. There will be couches, oriental rugs and other decorations to make diners feel at home.

Reservations are needed so Scott knows how much food to buy. If you need a place to go for a free Thanksgiving dinner, reserve a spot with Scott by calling 781-662-7235 or dropping in at 102 Tremont St.
