MELROSE — Ruth Ann (Gregoire) Dow, 85, died at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester on November 19, 2019.
Ruth was born in Boston was raised in Medford and Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. She was a homemaker and a longtime Melrose resident. Ruth worked for a few years at New England Telephone, at Beatrice Foods and Market Forge in Everett.
Former wife of the late Brian Long. Loving mother of Kathryn E. Crowley and her husband Skip of Saugus, and Susan J. Long of Kansas. Proud grandmother of Victoria and Devin Stoddart. Sister of the late Lorraine Campbell and her late husband John of Plymouth, and William Gregoire and his late wife Mary of Plymouth. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Friday, November 22 from 2-5 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
