The Lynnfield High School winter sports season starts this week. The boys’ and girls’ indoor track and field teams kick things off tonight with a matchup against Manchester-Essex at the Reggie Lewis Center.
The varsity girls’ and boys’ basketball team open their seasons on Friday against Pentucket.
Saturday is also a busy day featuring the Lynnfield/North Reading co-op wrestling team hosting a meet at NRHS.
The hockey team starts their campaign with a home game against Triton and the boys’ and girls’ swim teams will compete at the CAL dive meet at the Peabody-Lynnfield YMCA.
The following is the varsity sports schedule for the next seven days.

Wrestling: vs. Hopkington/Whittier, 10 a.m. (North Reading High School)
Boys’ Hockey: vs. Triton, 12 p.m.
Girls’/Boys’ Swim: CAL Dive Meet, 2 p.m.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15
Girls’/Boys’ Swim: vs. Manchester-Essex, 4 p.m.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 16
Boys’ Basketball: vs. Rockport, 6:30 p.m.
