LYNNFIELD – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be implementing a left lane closure on Interstate 95 northbound from exit 43 to exit 44 in Lynnfield. The temporary lane closure will occur between 7:00 a.m., and 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 22 and on Thursday, April 23. The closure is needed to allow crews to safely and effectively perform drilling operations.
The work is being conducted as part of a $3.5 million project to install an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) consisting of 16 Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) and four Variable Message Signs (VMS) at various locations in District 4.
Message boards, signs, traffic control devices, and law enforcement details will be used to guide drivers safely through the work zone.
MassDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes, reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
