LAWRENCE — Cheryl Barret, 73, of Lawrence passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2020 surrounded by family at her home.

Cheryl was born in Stoneham on June 25, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine (Whalen) DeFelice.

Cheryl was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1964 and later earned a degree in nursing from the Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School. She also was a gradute of Butera School of Art in Boston. Nursing was her lifelong career until her recent retirement. In addition was also a gifted artist. She enjoyed taking vacations to Disney with her daughter and grandson, Shane. She loved taking care of her rose garden and her Chinese Crested Dog, Steffie.

Cheryl was the loving mother of Tracy Mulrenan of Leominster. She was the sister of Sandra DeFelice of Wakefield, Judith Dellinger and her husband Harvey of Wakefield, David DeFelice and his wife Kathy of Peabody, and the late Robert DeFelice. She was the cherished grandmother of Shane Mulrenan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.

Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield.
