NORTH READING — Eleanor M. “Ellie” McIntire, 78, of North Reading, died Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Royal Meadow View in North Reading, after complications from COVID-19. Born in Lowell on April 26, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Ralph A. and Ruth N. (Belcher) McIntire. She was a lifelong resident of North Reading. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church for many years and the Trinity Evangelical Church.

Ellie was a resident of Peabody Court in North Reading for many years, where she called bingo for her friends. Ellie enjoyed walking and gardening. She always cared about and helped many of her neighbors. She was always there if someone needed a helping hand.

Family members include her loving sister, Marjorie Bowen of Salem, N.H. and her late husband Harry; late brothers, William M. McIntire and Robert D. McIntire; and her sister-in-law, Carol C. McIntire of Freedom, N.H. She is also survived by four nieces, four nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
