Enjoyed shopping and traveling to Scotland
MEDFORD — Catherine (Semple) Wales, 86, of Medford, formerly of Wakefield, died peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the Courtyard Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late John D. Wales, with whom she had shared 50 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Gallowgate, Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Thompson) Semple. She came to the United States and settled in Wakefield in 1960. She had worked for many years in the electronics field.
She enjoyed shopping and traveling to Scotland.
She is survived by a daughter, Catherine Hashem; two grandsons: William and Michael Hashem; three great grandchildren: Giselle Briseis Hashem, Charles Hashem and Conrad Hashem, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 8:30 p.m. in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (RTE129), Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
