NORTH READING — Imagine! For a freewill donation, you will sample five styles of BBQ and smoked meats ranging from steak tips, brisket and North Carolina pulled pork BBQ to chicken wings and ribs at Aldersgate’s The “Maine” Event this Saturday, May 10.
All of these tantalizing meats will be accompanied by delicious sides including mac and cheese, baked beans, cole slaw, cornbread and collard greens. Then, you can vote to crown the Top Chef with your dollar bills!
This event, which begins at 6 p.m., is a fundraiser for Aldersgate’s annual Maine Mission Trip this coming July 27 to August 2. There is no ticket price, though donations will be accepted at the door.
The “Maine” Event will also feature live music during dinner, silent auctions and raffles, and a presentation on the good work the mission team will do in DownEast Maine this summer.
