Ann was born on January 3, 1940 and grew up in Melrose, graduating from St Mary’s. She soon moved to Wakefield and along with Arthur, raised their family. She lived in the same house for close to 60 years before returning to Melrose for the final few years of her life.
Ann’s most cherished memories were spent with her family and her seemingly endless number of great friends. Her faith and the Catholic Church played a meaningful role throughout her life. She spent her early years at St. Mary’s in Melrose and later, her adult years at St. Florence Church in Wakefield where she served as a eucharist minister for many years.
The family would like to thank the numerous staff at the Residence of Melrose Station who both cared for and bonded with her. Their empathy and dedication provided peace of mind for her and her family during a difficult time.
Ann is survived by her three sons and their families: Kevin Malenchini of Newburyport; David Malenchini and his wife Jennifer of Bedford; and Stephen Malenchini and his wife Donna of Newburyport; three grandchildren Avery, Hannah and Ryder; one sister Peggy Kelly of Melrose; and many nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years Arthur “Mal” Malenchini and her older siblings Helen Turner, Mary Ardagna and John Turner.
