Applications for Townwide Yard Sale due April 18

NORTH READING — Plans are moving along for the annual Townwide Yard Sale on Saturday, May 3 from 8            a.m. to 2 p.m. Pink flyers are out around town as a reminder that there is still time to clean out the attic and garage and make money from that clutter that we all walk past daily.

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” as the saying goes. The deadline for submitting your application to be located on the map is Friday, April 18.

This event serves as the only fundraiser by the Friends of the North Reading Council on Aging, which provides financial support for extra classes and other requests that are beyond the Senior Center’s annual budget.

Applications can be found on the  town of North Reading website (northreadingma.gov), using the QR code on the pink flyers, at the Edith O’Leary Senior Center, the Flint Memorial Library, or by calling Joann at 978-664-0195. Remember that for a small donation we do all of the multimedia publicity and your location will be noted on a map available online and for distribution the week before the sale so customers can be prepared to find the best deals.

If you do not live in North Reading or you live in a condo that does not allow yard sales and still want to participate, there is limited availability at North  Reading Town Hall.

This is a town-wide event that draws customers from far and wide since our multimedia publicity is quite extensive. The Friends have had as many as 92 yard sale participants in previous years.
