Five Pioneers named CAL field hockey All-Stars

LYNNFIELD — Five members of the Lynnfield High field hockey team made the Cape Ann League All-Star teams this fall. Four Pioneers were named to the first team while one other made the second team.

The four CAL First-Team All-Stars were Lauren Mattia, Nola Maney, Grace Allen and Izzy Fiorentino.

Angiuoni ready to take over PLNR girls’ hockey team

PEABODY — Guy Angiuoni is the new head coach of the Peabody-Lynnfield-North Reading girls’ co-op hockey team. Angiuoni takes over for longtime coach Michelle Roach who left to become the head coach at Arlington Catholic. 

Angiuoni, who graduated from Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua, NH, was the St. Mary’s of Lynn junior varsity

SAUGUS — At the Lynnfield High golf team’s end-of-season banquet at the Prince Restaurant in Saugus, head coach Mike Moresco gave out four awards.

The MVP Award went to sophomore Max Sabbagh. Sabbagh was a Cape Ann League Second-Team All-Star this year and he led the team in scoring average.
