MELROSE AND Stoneham football played a close one last Thursday on the road at Woburn High but saw the Spartans prevail, 21-14. Melrose remains 1-3 on the season but based on their hard strength of schedule remain in the mix for playoffs thanks to solid Power Rankings. They host Woburn on Thursday evening (post deadline).
