LYNN — The Lady Hornets girls’ soccer team upended the previously unbeaten and first overall seed Hamilton-Wenham Generals 1-0 (5-4) in a penalty shootout in the Division 3 North Semifinals at Manning Field in Lynn on Tuesday night.

THE NRHS MARCHING BAND earned a bronze star at the MICCA Finals on Sunday. North Reading received stars for music, visual, effect and color guard as well as percussion. The Hornets' overall score was three stars with a total score of 32 points for a Bronze Medal. The band director is Eric Forman, the Drum Major is Ashtyn Parker–McDermott and the assistant Drum Major is Neva Ventullo. The Color Guard Captain is Annie Nitzsche. (Mary Lasdin Photo)
