Girls’ tennis team poised to repeat as CAL champs

NORTH READING — After losing just one starter to graduation from a team that made it to the Division 3 North quarterfinals last season, the Lady Hornets are poised to challenge for the Cape Ann League Kinney Division large school tennis crown.

RECENTLY, the North Reading Fifth Grade Travel Basketball team won the championship for the Cape Ann League. They played four games over the weekend at Salem State College, winning the last three games. They fought hard and won their final game by three points against Triton.
