RECENT NRHS graduate Abigail Gerber was awarded the North Reading Republican Town Committee’s (NRRTC) $750 Scholarship with her heartfelt essay on “What the American Flag Means to Me.” Abby read her essay during the award ceremony, held near the war memorials on the Town Common. She was presented citations from the State Senate by Sen.

A parting gift to the Horace Mann School

THIS YEAR’S fifth grade class said good-bye to their elementary school by commissioning a wood carving of the Horace Mann Husky, which will greet kids and visitors as they enter the lobby. The beautiful wooden statue was made by local artist John Pegoraro of Odd Pegs Woodworking.
