Gold Award Recipient

LUCY FISHER, NRHS Class of 2024, was awarded Girl Scouting’s highest honor, the Gold Award, in a ceremony at Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham last Sunday afternoon.  Fisher’s project, titled “‘Draw’ Attention to Recycling,” used student-generated art to bring awareness to recycling in the elementary, middle and high schools in North Reading.  Completed last summer,

THIS WEEK’S MHS Athlete(s) of the Week are history making state relay champions who prevailed over statewide competition at the 2025 Div. 4 State Relay Championship at Pembroke High. Riding for those who fought

 

HUNDREDS OF motorcycle enthusiasts rode through town yesterday during Boston’s 14th Annual Wounded Vet Run. The ride supports New England’s most severely wounded veterans. It began at the Boston Harley-Davidson dealership in Revere, came into Wakefield from Saugus, continuing down Water Street (pictured here) then south on Main Street toward Melrose. The ride ended
