THE MELROSE High boy’s hockey team battled to a near draw in a close 2-1 loss to Belmont to open their season on the road. Melrose’s Justin D’Antona scored Melrose’s equalizing goal in the first and Melrose defense, anchored by goalie Matt Fuccione, held the Marauders back until a Belmont goal with 4 minutes left.
