Warriors had an up and down year, posted a 4-5-1 record

THE WMHS freshman football team posted a 4-5-1 record this fall. The members of the team included Andrew Miller, Ryan Patrick Smith, Ryan Chambers, Robert Keegan, Robert Guida, Cole Gregson, Alex Joly, Tyler Ford, Robert Young, Kendall Hiltpold, Tyler Pugsley, Dan Cataldo, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Henry Stikeman, Pat Bertini, Brendan Coughlin, Evan McMaster, Mike Melito, Patrick Beaver, Jake Goodchild, Patrick Tannian, Brendan Marshall, Devin O’Brien, Charles Senior, Christian Hayes, Stephen Mercurio, Stephen Calandra, Mark Bielakiewicz, Charles Oates, Michael Clancy, Jack Moran, Jake Dennen, Ryan Arthur Smith and Jack Shannon. WAKEFIELD — Wakefield Memorial High senior Shannon Quirk was named an All-Scholastic in girls’ swimming by both the Boston Globe and Boston Herald.

THE WMHS girls’ and boys’ cross country teams had six Middlesex League Freedom division all-stars named. The girls had four runners honored and the boys had two.
