BOSTON — In partnership with HUBLUV, the Museum of Science is celebrating the bicycling community around Greater Boston at the Museum of Science, 1 Science Park in Boston, on Saturday, August 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Bike to the museum with Bike to the Sea, A Better City, and Brothers on Bikes and learn how bicycling and pedestrian infrastructure can build community, improve personal health and address the climate crisis.
Speakers include Gabriella Rossi, founder and executive director of Girls in Gear; Adam Bigelow, who rode to 92 Dunkin’ Donuts in one day to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis research; Rui Li, director of the Exercise Science Program at Northeastern University Exercise Science Lab; and Amelia Casey, senior transportation planner at Arup.
Participating organizations include: A Better City; Appalachian Mountain Club; Arup; Bikes Not Bombs; Bike to the Sea; Boston Critical Mass; Boston Cyclists Union; Brothers On Bikes Boston; CargoB; Community Pedal Power; Esplanade Association; Girls in Gear; HUBLUV; Massachusetts Area Planning Council; MassBike; Mass Central Rail Trail; Mattapan Food & Fitness Coalition; Mystic River Watershed Association; New England Mountain Bike Association; New England Tour de Cure – American Diabetes Association; and Sustainable Transportation at Northeastern University (STAN).
