Class of 2025 graduates Saturday at 9 a.m.

WAKEFIELD MEMORIAL HIGH’S Class of 2025 will graduate at 9 a.m. Saturday and the people here will play a part in the ceremony at Landrigan Field. WAKEFIELD — Over 200 seniors will graduate tomorrow morning from Wakefield Memorial High during the Class of 2025’s commencement exercise at Landrigan Field.

Because rain is in the forecast, school officials have moved up the starting time of the graduation ceremony to 9 a.m. All are welcome; seating for guests is unreserved in the bleachers and there are no tickets.

From Colin Toby Ala to Zachaeus Khachatahn Zivan, 211 students are set to receive their high school diplomas tomorrow.

The Class of 2025 will come onto Landrigan Field to “Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1” performed by the WMHS Band directed by Thomas Bankert and Phil Cataldo.

Class Treasurer Henry Brown will serve as master of ceremonies.

Laila Atoui, president of the Student Council, will lead classmates and others in saluting the flag.

“The Star Spangled Banner” will be sung by the Chamber Singers and Treble Choir under Ana Morel’s direction.

Class of 2025 President Abigail Myette will give the welcome address.

Kevin Fontanella will send greetings on behalf of the School Committee he belongs to.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Doug Lyons will speak, as will Wakefield Memorial High Principal Amy McLeod.

The Chamber Singers and Treble Choir will sing “And Wherever You Go.” 

Class Essayist Konstandina Deleidi will then address her peers and the audience.

The Class Salutatorian is Charles Gagne.

The Class Valedictorian is Marc Gagne.

Wisely Chea, vice president of the Class of 2025, will pass the school key to Cara Carangelo, president of the junior class.

The Class Banner, created by Brianna Cribble, will be presented by Class Secretary Aliza Margolis.

“I Lived” will be performed by Samantha Bordonaro, Owen Kelley, Brendan Leane, Siobhan Lombardi, Alex Morton, Jhalak Patel, Elizabeth Police, Amber Smith, Scott Davis, Grant Jefferson, Zachaeus Sivan and Caeden Pothier, under the director of Ana Morel.

Principal Amy McLeod, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Doug Lyons, School 

Committeeman Kevin Fontanella, Class of 2025 President Abigail Myette and Class of 2025 Vice President Wisely Chea will hand out diplomas.

The Class of 2025 will leave Landrigan Field to “Fanfare and Recessional” performed by the WMHS Band directed by Thomas Bankert and Phil Cataldo.
