Studied martial arts and could fix anything mechanical
Craig Andrews Golini, affectionately known as CJ, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 27. He was the loving son of Wendy Golini of Melrose and Paul Golini of FL. He was survived by his brothers David and Thomas and his two children: Zarya and Abraham.
CJ was raised most of his life in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High. He was an exceptional athlete and a MA State wrestling champion. He spent his youth helping run his family’s restaurants and studying the martial arts where he earned the degree of blackbelt in karate. CJ was also a brilliant technician that could fix and design anything mechanical. He earned his plumbing license and was a proud member of the Local 12 Plumber’s Union.
He was kind and generous and always willing to help others who were less fortunate. His warm and forgiving nature was felt by everyone in his life and his loss has left a devastating hole in the lives of all who loved him.
He was predeceased by his favorite Uncle Dennis DiMeo; his grandparents: Mario and Claire DiMeo; John and Ruth Golini; and Faith and George Mason. He was also survived by Jennifer (Davis) Cardona; Laura (Davis) Brown; Michelle Davis; Scott Davis; Kelly Grasso Freeman; Craig Mason; Irwin Goldman; Gina Grasso-Bastien; Marcus Armstrong; Andre Armstrong; Chanel Mason; Nicholette Mason; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
Visiting hours were held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3 followed by a Celebration of Life that began at 11 a.m. at the Gately Funeral Home. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
