Diverse Abilities Game Day Nov. 9

WAKEFIELD — Wakefield’s Commission on Disabilities will host its first Diverse Abilities Game Day on Sunday, November 9.

From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., local youth can join together for board games, corn hole, pool, and karaoke as we celebrate what makes each of us uniquely able. Participants will meet in the Boys and Girls Club space at the Americal Civic Center, located at 467 Main St. This facility is wheelchair accessible.

Chaperones will be on site, but parents are welcome to stay, network, and enjoy a fun afternoon in a welcoming environment. Refreshments will be served and participants will have an opportunity to win door prizes. This free event is appropriate for young people of all abilities in middle school and above.

If you have any questions about the event or would like to learn more, contact Commission on Disabilities member Janice Mirabassi at jmirabassi@gmail.com.
