
WAKEFIELD — The Middlesex League’s wrestling coaches met at the end of the 2024-25 season to vote on league All-Stars. The Div. 3 North champion Wakefield Warriors had eight All-Stars selected.
The Warriors had three wrestlers named to the boys’ All-Conference team which includes one pick per weight class and one named to the girls’ All-Conference team.
Senior Sean Callanan, senior Teagan Norton, senior Ahmed Othman and junior Aydin Lamb all made it to the All-Conference team.

Earning All-Star status was senior Jimmy Fabbri, senior Kip King, junior Michael Barry and sophomore Jaden Fullerton.
Wakefield’s terrific season started with a 1st place finish at the 25th Anthony Lisitano Tournament, the first title for the home team since 2019.

After a terrific regular season, the Warriors came ready to play in the postseason, winning the Div. 3 North Sectional Championship as head coach Ross Ickes earned the D3 Coach of the Year award.
Callanan (157) and Lamb (132) were each champions of their weight class to lead the way. King (285) and Fabbri (150) each earned 2nd place finishes at sectionals.

Wakefield went on to take 2nd at Div. 3 states.
Earning individual state titles were Norton, King and Lamb. Callanan took 2nd place at states and Barry earned a 3rd place finish.

Wakefield had three make the podium at all-states: Callanan took 3rd and Norton took 4th, each earning a spot at New-England’s while Lamb finished 8th.
