WAKEFIELD — Because the weather forecast for Saturday, June 7 calls for rain, the Wakefield Center Neighborhood Association’s Festival by the Lake will be held on Sunday, June 8.
The Festival by the Lake, on the Common, will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Everyone can come shop with local artisans selling jewelry, paintings, pottery, photographs, clothing, leather goods and a variety of other custom-made collectibles.
Local non-profit organizations also attend to showcase their efforts.
A children’s area provides rides, face-painting, and other activities.
WCNA members operate a food tent and sell hamburgers, hotdogs, salads, pizza, soda, and desserts.
Proceeds from the festival helps with WCNA’s operation expenses as members support projects that better the quality of life for Wakefield residents and visitors.
