NORTH READING — Due to inclement weather January 11, the program featuring book publisher Henry M. Quinlan sponsored by the Friends of NRCOA has been rescheduled to Saturday, January 25 at 1 p.m. The Friends apologize for any inconvenience but this is New England and we must learn to go with whatever Mother Nature throws at us!
The presentation, to be held at the Edith O’Leary Senior Center, 157 Park St., will be an opportunity to gather with your friends and engage in an interesting topic. A graduate of Boston College, Henry Quinlan has been publishing books for over 40 years. In 1991 he was asked by President George H. Bush to organize the publishing of the book “Make Way for Ducklings” and erection of the statues in Moscow. Notable among the books he has published is “My Life in Space” by Wally Schirra. He recently spoke at the Senior Center about Happiness for Seniors. He believes that when you retire you have to leave behind what you used to be and forge a new life, finding a purpose that is outside of yourself.
This program, as usual, is free and is open to all ages. Come on to the Senior Center and find out what your Friends are up to.
