LYNNFIELD — Delicious mac ‘n cheese, pretty chrysanthemums and fun for the entire family were the order of the day on Saturday, Oct. 14 when Historic Lynnfield, Inc. presented its first Fall Festival on the Town Common.

The free event drew crowds and vendors from all over Greater Boston and as far away as Derry, N.H.

The organization’s Vice President Karen Nascembeni said that the team had been working hard for weeks putting together what proved to be a fun event.

Thirty vendors set up tables to sell their artwork and crafts, children’s books and toys while the young kids decorated pumpkins and played games.

Historic Lynnfield Inc. was founded in 2022 by volunteers led by President Nan Hockenbury. Kirk Mansfield serves as clerk with Karen Hathaway, Sharon McLaughlin, John Michalski and Laurie Priestly serving as directors.

The purpose of the nonprofit group is to foster community involvement in the preservation and education of all things significant to the history of Lynnfield past and present for future generations.
