LYNNFIELD — Historic Lynnfield, Inc. is holding its first Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, taking place from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. on the Town Common.
“Join Historic Lynnfield for fun for all ages,” said Historic Lynnfield Vice President Karen Nascembeni. “The Fall Festival will showcase over 30 vendors featuring food, unique artisans, flowers, games, pumpkins, raffles and special treats. For the kids, we’ll have face painting, children’s books and toys for sale, pumpkin decorating, balloon animals and more! The event is free to the public.”
The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 15.
“Historic Lynnfield is being led by a dedicated team of Lynnfield residents with a proven passion for preserving the history of Lynnfield,” said Nascembeni “We are thrilled to have Nan Hockenbury at the helm of our organization. Having served previously as both the chair of the Lynnfield Historical Commission and president of the Lynnfield Historical Society, Nan Hockenbury is undoubtedly one of the foremost experts on Lynnfield history. Her knowledge of and passion for preserving Lynnfield’s history make her the perfect candidate to lead our team of dedicated volunteers.”
Joining Hockenbury and Nascembeni on the Historic Lynnfield Board of Directors are Treasurer Inta Simone, Clerk Kirk Mansfield, and Directors Karen Hathaway, Sharon McLaughlin, John Michalski and Lauri Priestley.
For anyone choosing to donate to Historic Lynnfield, funds raised will be used for preservation of the 1714 Meeting House and to obtain, catalog, and preserve important Lynnfield artifacts to be housed in the Pope-Richard Lynnfield Historical Center on behalf of the town of Lynnfield and available for research.
