WAKEFIELD — Joan M. Brown, 78, a longtime resident of Wakefield and beloved wife of 55 years to the late William R Brown, passed away peacefully on Monday July 30, 2018. Born on October 18, 1939 in Wakefield to the late Frank and Margret Caruso. She is the sister of Marylou Gowing and husband Paul as well as the late Robert Caruso and Donald Caruso.
Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She leaves behind five children. Kenneth Brown and his wife Vicky, David Brown, William Brown, Jr., Michael Brown and his wife Bonnie, Susan Holbrook and her husband Scott. As well as seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held in Wakefield at St. Florence church at 12 noon on September 15, followed by the burial service at Forest Glade Cemetery. The Brown Family would also like to invite family and friends to the Crystal Community Club in Wakefield at 2 p.m.
