MELROSE — Registered Democrats in Melrose will hold a caucus on April 24, 2025 at the First Congregational Church at 121 W. Foster St. to elect delegates and alternates to the 2025 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the Caucus will begin at 7:15 p.m., sharp.
The 2025 Massachusetts Democratic Party State Convention will come together to discuss and decide on our party platform and priorities for the next 4 years. This is also an important opportunity for Democrats across Massachusetts to come together to unite behind our shared values and organize to win up and down the ballot.
The Convention will be held on September 13th, 2025, at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Melrose. Democrats who will be 16 or older by March 29, 2025 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Youth, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or at www.massdems.org.
Democrats who are unable to attend the caucus but are interested in being elected delegates may submit their name in writing via email (mail@melrosedems.org) to the Melrose Democratic City Committee prior to the caucus date.
Those interested in getting involved with the Melrose Democratic City Committee should contact Lizbeth DeSelm at 857-544-4923 or mail@melrosedems.org.
