LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield High baseball team is looking forward to what should be another highly successful season in 2025.

The Pioneers went 18-2 in the regular season last year to win the Cape Ann League and earn the No. 1 seed in the Div. 4 state tournament where they fell to Salem 7-5 in the state quarterfinals.

Lynnfield lost plenty of important senior leaders from that team but return multiple upperclassmen to lead the way this year including Tyler Adamo and Madux Iovinelli.

Adamo, a Columbia baseball commit, was the CAL Player Of the Year last season.

Iovinelli, a High Point baseball commit, gives Lynnfield the best duo in the CAL. Both are lights out pitchers and dangerous middle of the order bats.

More key returning seniors will be Nick Groussis, Charlie Morgan and Walter Radulski.

Luke DiSilvio and Drew George are two returning juniors to look out for.

Lynnfield might not be as deep as they were last year but they have the talent to win another league title and make a deep run in the tournament.

The Pioneers set up eight scrimmages this year, all against teams in higher divisions. That continues this week with home scrimmages against Bishop Fenwick on Thursday and Peabody and Lexington on Saturday.

Lynnfield kicks off their regular season next week on April 3 at home against Lynn Classical at 4 p.m. Their CAL opener will be on April 10 in Newburyport at 4 p.m.
