LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Art Guild (LAG) is presenting a photography demonstration by Joe Votano on Thursday, Jan. 18, taking place from 7-8:30 p.m. on Zoom.
This demonstration is open to all members via invitation; prospective members are encouraged to join the Guild at www.lynnfieldarts.org to take advantage of this and upcoming special artistic opportunities, including free attendance at all live and virtual demonstrations and the ability to display art, network with other artists and show pieces in our popular exhibits.
Votano has been an avid photographer since late 2005. He does his own printing and has received numerous awards in color and BW prints from Merrimack Valley Camera Club and Greater Lynn Photographic Association since 2005. His images have been published in Prestige Travel Hong Kong, Michelin Travel Guide and Boston.com. Votano has also published several photo-travelogues and a well-received major photo work on Boston and Cape Ann, in a 200 page e-Book.
Votano has a large range of photographic interests from architectural, creative, street and fine art photography. His philosophy when it comes to photography other than creative, is take the shot and then attempt to make the image evoke the emotion and thinking present when the shutter is clicked. Expressing the content is central to his image taking.
“Images mostly reflect what a photographer likes and feels,” said Votano. “I hope you find in my body of work something that sparks an emotion in you as it did with me when I clicked the shutter or composed a creative montage.”
