LYNNFIELD — The weather was perfect for the 48 golfers who teed it up for the annual Lynnfield Rotary Golf Tournament at the Reedy Meadow Golf Course last month.

“The Golf Committee, led by Committee Chairman Tom Adamczyk, exceeded all expectations to make this a memorable event,” said Rotary Club member Jack Moynihan. “Although the wind kept safe the Hole in One $5,000 prize on the ninth hole, it didn’t prevent the A.A. Dority Team from taking first place once again with a score of 57. Congratulations to their team: Select Board member Phil Crawford, Allen Schweitzer, Paul DeVincenzo and Phil Anderson.”

The Ironside Financial Team consisting of Steve Riley, Vanessa Riley, Chuck Cotting and Christine Cataldo finished second with a score of 59. The Lynnfield Psychological Team that included Adamczyk, Gil Stringer, Mark Braga and Tony Carangelo finished third with a score of 60.

Jim Ward won the putting contest. Keith Ells, who is no stranger to Reedy Meadow, won the Closest to the Pin contest.

“Congratulations to all the winners,” said Moynihan. “The monies raised at this event are used to help fund Rotary Scholarships for Lynnfield High School seniors and various community services.”

Moynihan thanked the Golf Tournament’s sponsors for “their support in making the tournament successful.” The Platinum sponsors were Everett Bank, Schumacher Dental, A. A. Dority, Lynnfield Psychological Associates, Ira Toyota and Moynihan Lumber.

The Silver sponsors were Select Board member Dick Dalton, JM Electrical, World/Tarpey Insurance Company, House Minority Leader Brad Jones (R-North Reading), the Shinnick family, Gregory Garden Center, Fahey Tire, Salem Five, YMCA of Metro North and Keith Ells Auto Builders.
