NORTHBOROUGH — Last Saturday, the Lynnfield-Danvers High co-op gymnastics team participated in the MIAA state final at Algonquin Regional High School.
Of the eight teams there, the Falcons finished in 4th place with a score of 146.325.
Masconomet won the state title at 149.050. while Newton North was 2nd at 147.050
Mansfield captured 3rd at 146.40.
Last year, the Falcons came in 3rd overall.
Kaylee Wescott led the way for the Falcons coming in 2nd place in the all-around with a score of 38.4. The sophomore had a 9.7 in the vault, a 9.5 on the bars, a 9.55 on the balance beam and a 9.65 on the floor exercise.
She was first in the vault, second on the bars, tied for second on the floor and tied for fourth on the beam.
Lynnfield’s Camryn Donovan placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.25. She had a 9.45 (tied for sixth place) in the vault. a 9.05 (tied for 11th) on the bars, a 9.35 (13th) on the beam and a 9.4 (eighth) on the floor.
Delainy Murphy competed in three events and had a total score of 27.175 as she finished in 22nd place. She tied for 15th in the vault (9.25) and beam (9.225), She was 23rd on the bars at 8.7.
Hannah Moccia was 37th with a total score of 24.2 in her three events. She had an 8.15 on the bars (tied for 38th), and a 8.15 on the floor (45th)
Lynnfield’s Sophia Catinazzo was 42nd as she did two events. She scored a 9.25 in the vault where she tied for 16th. She then came in 38th on the floor at 8.5.
DeAnna Figueiredo also did two events with an 8.5 in the vault (tied for 32nd) and a 8.55 on the floor (tied for 36th)
Callie Donovan, Camryn’s sister scored an 8.4 on the beam (39th) and an 8.3 on the floor (42nd).
In the regular season, the Falcons went 6-1 overall as they came in second place in the CAL-NEC behind Masconomet.
