Girls’ lacrosse falls to Norwell in Round of 16

THE LHS girls’ lacrosse team concluded a strong season last week in the Div. 4 Round of 16.

NORWELL — On June 3, the Lynnfield High girls’ lacrosse team lost at Norwell, 16-5, in the MIAA Division 4 Round of 16 as their season came to an end.

With that defeat, the 14th-seeded Pioneers ended the 2025 campaign at 9-13. Third-seeded Norwell, meanwhile, beat Hamilton-Wenham, 17-8, on June 6 to improve to 17-3.

They took on Ipswich on Tuesday in the state semifinals (result not available as of press time).

“They are the best team we have seen this year,” stated Pioneers head coach Christina Serra. “Their defense is awesome and very fast.”

Norwell took command of this game early as they led, 8-0, after the first quarter and 13-1 at the half.

Hayden Valiton led the Pioneer offense with two goals while  Taylor Valiton had one. Ava Damiani and Jordan Calichman each had one goal and one assist.

Lynnfield goalie, Olivia Sylvester, made seven saves in net.

The Clipper offense was led by Margot Bonnevie and Holly Panttila who both had three goals and one assist.

Natasha Mikus had a team-high three assists to go with her one goal.

Clipper goalie, Charlotte Pithie, made seven stops as she passed the 500 save milestone in her career.
