LYNNFIELD residents helped the St. John’s Prep swim team win the Div. 1 state championship at Phillips Academy on Sunday. This is the 17th state title for the Eagles in the last 19 years. Led by Lynnfield residents, senior captains Jimmy Mahoney and Will Kennedy, the Prep earned 330 points with their closest competitor, Westford, earning 161. This year, the Eagles won the Catholic Conference title, the MIAA North sectional title and now the MIAA Division 1 state championship.
