
WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield Rotary Club is pleased to announce its newest member, Megan Samborski, who was installed into the club earlier this month by Wakefield Rotary Member, Joie Gerrish and her sponsor, Past President Amy Luckiewicz. Samborski was accompanied by her father, a former Rotarian, Tim Perry.
She is the current Director of Development for INspire Café, the new inclusive café on Main Street in Wakefield sponsored by the Metro North Boys & Girls Club. She notes that her driving passion…”is connecting businesses with nonprofits to do good in the community and bring people together for a greater purpose.”
She volunteers in many roles including being an elected member and Vice Chair of the Stoneham School Committee, Chair of the Stoneham Alliance Against Violence, and member of the Stoneham/ Woburn Elks Club. She added, “I’m honored to join the Rotary Club, where I can build genuine connections and help carry forward INspire’s mission of creating a more inclusive and compassionate community.”
Club President Kathy Boyle noted, “We’ve gotten to know Megan for awhile now through her connection to the Boys & Girls Club. She was a natural fit for our club with her history of doing good in local communities.” Boyle added, “We can’t wait to hear her ideas on how to better support Wakefield and beyond.”
Samborski is a current resident of Stoneham where she lives with her husband and two daughters
