Boy’s hoop team celebrates their season

MELROSE—The Melrose High boy’s basketball team recently gathered to celebrate their season at their year-end banquet held at Bellevue Country Club.

The evening was a chance for the team to honor their outgoing seniors, distribute awards and name new captains.

Leading the team as captains in 2026 will be Tyler Garipay, Leo Kleinbum, Jack Casey and Connor Smith.

Also honored was longtime team manager James Kavanaugh, “The President,” who was gifted with an appreciation award signed by the team.
