MELROSE — Bread of Life’s annual golf tournament at Mt. Hood Golf Club in Melrose is fast approaching. The event features prizes, gift certificates and raffles to benefit hungry and homeless neighbors in our local communities. The tournament, Monday July 23, begins with 8 a.m. registration and complimentary breakfast, 9 a.m. tee time, and a great dinner afterwards provided by Marty’s Catering held at the Irish American Club, 177 West Street in Malden.
Participation in the tournament helps Bread of Life achieve its mission to “feed the body and nurture the soul.” Bread of Life (BOL) is one of the largest distributors of free food in the Greater Boston Food Bank network, providing over one million meals per year to families, individuals and senior citizens through its food pantries, evening meals, grocery delivery to senior citizens, and meal delivery to homeless families and at-risk teens. BOL food pantries serve residents of Malden, Everett, Medford, Melrose, Saugus, Stoneham, Reading, North Reading, Winchester and Wakefield.
The $150 golfer fee includes golf with cart, full breakfast, complimentary gift bag, entrance into (four) course challenges “Passport” prizes and raffle opportunities, and “Dinner at the 19th Hole.”
Those who don’t wish to golf can join in on the 19th hole dinner event for $25 per person immediately after golf (approximately 3 p.m.).
Sponsors are invited to take advantage of opportunities that identify their support in one of the following ways:
$2,500 Tournament Sponsor: golf cart flags with company logo (includes four golfers)
$500 – (10) named sponsor opportunities
$200 – 2 year tee and/or green sponsor
$125 – 1 year tee and/or green sponsor
