Melrose Farmers Market celebrates Older Adults Day and Back to School Day

MINI PAINTINGS WERE created from participants on Older Adults Day at the Melrose Farmers Market.

MELROSE — The Melrose Farmers’ Market hosted two fantastic theme days in September, celebrating the oldest and youngest members of our community. On September 11 Older Adults Day, the Market hosted an art class led by Follow Your Art’s Kris Rodolico. Participants made miniature paintings while enjoying coffee sponsored by the Market. On September 18 Back to School Day, children enjoyed interacting with and learning about Animal Craze’s bunnies, goats, pigs, chickens and ducks. The activities were sponsored by grant funding from the Melrose Cultural Council.

CHILDREN ENJOYED learning and interacting with the animals during Back to School Day.

The Market continues weekly until October 30. Save the date for the Harvest Market on November 14 and the Holiday Market on December 16. For more information, visit melrosefarmersmarket.org.
