Five indicted in Sylvan St. incident

WOBURN — Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan recently announced the indictment of five people involved in an incident on Sylvan Street in December.

A grand jury indicted David Demaio of Carver, Harrison Kumm of Lowell, Eric McGuirl of Burlington, Megan O’Shaughnessy of Everett and William Wigfall of Melrose.

On Dec. 20, 2017, at about 2 a.m., some sort of homemade incendiary device allegedly was thrown at a Sylvan Street home. A reported assault ensued.

Wigfall, 31, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (two counts), strangulation, assault and battery, and witness intimidation.

O’Shaughnessy, 21, is charged with arson and malicious destruction of property over $250.

McGuirl is chargd with arson and malicious destruction of property over $250.

Kumm, 18, is charged with arson, malicious destruction of property over $250 and threatening to commit a crime. 

Demaio is charged with arson, malicious destruction of property over $250 and witness intimidation.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Carrie Spiros.
