MELROSE — ‘Gig to Give,’ a coffeehouse fundraiser organized by Melrose High School students Julia Lanneville and Ell Gimenez, will be held this Sunday, May 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Follow Your Art Community Studios in Melrose. The event is a National Honor Society community service project and proceeds will benefit Melrose-based hunger relief nonprofit The Food Drive. Performances will feature students from Melrose High School and Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School.
The concert is open to all with a suggested donation of $20 for adults and $10 for students. ‘Gig to Give’ is supported by event sponsors Follow Your Art Community Studios, Alta Performance Gym & Physical Therapy and Mama Jean. Raffle donors include the Beauty Café, Buckalew’s General Store, Elizabeth Keeley and Lilah Rose. A reception following the concert will feature treats donated by La Qchara.
