MELROSE — Get ready for a spooktacular good time at the Melrose Dog Society’s Halloween Dog Paw-rade! Join us on Sunday, October 26 starting at 11 a.m. for a frightfully fun event that’s all about our furry friends. We’ll be parading through East Knoll Field in our best Halloween costumes, so get creative and show off your dog’s inner monster, superhero or silly clown. Family costumes are encouraged as well. Spectators welcome.
Our official pup-arazzi will be on the lookout to snap photos of all the adorable costumes, so make sure your dog is ready for their close-up. This year’s Paw-rade will feature a red carpet contest; prizes for the best costumes; music; exciting raffles; photo opportunities; local vendors; and celebrity judges.
There is no charge to participate in the Paw-rade, but donations on the day of the event will be appreciated. Proceeds will support the Melrose Dog Society.
Registration begins at 11 a.m. on the lawn next to the Melrose Dog Park at Memorial Knoll, across from the High School. The Paw-rade begins promptly at 12 p.m. and will proceed from the Melrose Dog Park to East Knoll Field. You must register your dog in person to be eligible to walk down the red carpet.
*Rain date is Sunday, November 2.
