MELROSE—Good luck is wished to the Melrose Middle School wrestling team who will be heading to the U-12 Sectionals this weekend at Gloucester High.
Last weekend, they had a Middle School Wrestling League meet where six 6th graders and two 5th graders competed at the NER league meet. Luca Wilde (5th grade) competed at 65 lbs, Dev Sullivan at 70lbs earned 2 wins. Donovan Savage was in 4th place at 80 lbs. Harrison Garabidian competed at 85 lbs, Tighe Lusas was 3rd place at 95 lbs. Dean Sweezey (1 win) competed in the 90 lbs, Kellan Jengro (1 win) competed at 103 lbs, and Preston Sweezey (1 win) competed 111 lbs. All the kids competed hard against kids from grades 5-8 grade.
