MVMMS Drama has a great new vanity room

A REPURPOSED WOOD storage room at the middle school has been transformed into something very different and certainly quite impressive.

MELROSE — The Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School Drama Department has unveiled its newly renovated vanity room, once a repurposed wood storage room.

Sometimes all it takes is for a person to “see a need, fill a need.” – Bigweld.

At the end of the last school year, a student shared a simple idea with her teacher – a wish to have a dedicated space for students to get ready before performances. That teacher, Ms. Callie Llewellyn, listened to her idea and told her the space belongs to the students. Over the next few months, ideas were shared, materials were gathered, and most importantly – people and businesses stepped up!

The MVMMS drama department would like to thank community member Charles Faulstich for his amazing carpentry and design skills, Melrose Glass for transporting and cutting glass, Ms. Llewellyn for her support of this project, all the community members that donated supplies, and the Trzepacz family for seeing a need, and filling a need. Thank you all!
