Devoted to family and her faith
MELROSE — Elizabeth (McGuire) Howard passed away peacefully at the MelroseWakefield Hospital with her family at her side.
She was the devoted wife of Dennis Howard for 56 years. Also, she was the loving mother of their six children: Sharon Casey (Patrick), Tewksbury, MA; Michael Howard (Corey) Princeton, MA; Steve Howard (Sandra), Revere, MA; Susan Marks (Mike) of Falmouth, ME; Scott Howard of Asheboro, NC, and Amy Beth Howard Melrose. Also, grandmother of Michael Casey, Sean Casey, Abigail Howard, Riley Howard, Connor Marks, Will Howard and Ellie Howard.
Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Frederick and Theresa McGuire (McKenna). She was the youngest of five children. Her siblings were Frederick McGuire (Flo) deceased, Bernadette and John Kreatz deceased, Joan Ahlstrom (Nils) deceased, Charles McGuire (Virginia).
Visitation will be at Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose on Friday, August 18, between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral Mass which will be held at 11 a.m. at Incarnation Church, 429 Upham St., Melrose. Interment will take place after the funeral mass at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
Relatives and friends respectively invited. Please omit flowers. Spiritual bouquet cards or donations to the Incarnation Church would be most welcome.
Betty was devoted to her husband Dennis, children and grandchildren and attended Mass daily at the Incarnation Church.
