Melrose qualifies for MIAA Div. 2 state tournament, defeating Central Catholic 7-6 (May 23)

THE MELROSE High boys’ lacrosse team is primed to see a post season following a convincing 13-5 win over Stoneham last week. They are currently 7-8 but power ranked 25th in Div. 2 which all but guarantees them a spot in the Div. 2 playoff field. Brackets will be released next week and Melrose finishes their regular season with two road trips to Watertown and Central Catholic this week. Stay tuned. (Dan Murphy photos, murphymediagroup.org)
