MELROSE — The City of Melrose is sharing the following updates for the upcoming
week:
Voting deadlines approaching
The last day to register to vote in the November 5, 2024 election is Saturday, October 26. Register to vote online or check your voter registration status by visiting vote.gov. The City of Melrose Elections Office will be open until 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 26 for Early Voting and to process voter registrations until the deadline.
The deadline to request a mail-in ballot for the November 5 election is Tuesday, October 29 at 5 p.m. With questions, contact the Elections Office at (781) 979-4125.
Early voting continues
Early in-person voting continues at Melrose City Hall, 562 Main Street, until Friday, November 1 at 12:30 p.m. The full Early Voting schedule can be found at www.cityofmelrose.org/2024-early- voting. With questions, contact the Elections Office at (781) 979-4125.
Cemetery cleanup begins Nov. 1
Wyoming Cemetery will begin the annual fall cleanup on Friday, November 1, 2024. Individuals who would like to save personal or seasonal decorations located at their loved ones’ grave site should remove them on or before November 1. Any items that remain after November 1 will be discarded. Questions can be directed to Wyoming Cemetery staff at (781) 665-0405.
Flu vaccine appointments still available
The Melrose Department of Health and Human Services will offer free influenza vaccinations to any Melrose resident during the Mayor’s Senior Resource Fair on Tuesday, October 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Melrose Memorial Hall, 590 Main Street.
The regular Sanofi Pasteur Fluzone vaccine will be available for anyone over 5 years old and the high-dose vaccine will be available to individuals 65 years and older. Pre-registration is highly recommended, and the registration link can be found at CityOfMelrose.org. With questions, call the Health and Human Services Department at (781) 979-4130.
